Hi, my friend.

I have notice the date of your submision because I've got a Delphi FAQ from several years ago in which this way of making it is explained.

I suggest you not to use a fixed name and location for the file, unless you are installing it from another application.

What I use is the EXEName property of
Application, then it should state:

reg.WriteString('Hacked',Application.EXEName);

Further improvement is to change the registry data ('Hacked') by the program's name

reg.WriteString(
ChangeFileExt(
ExtractFileName(Application.EXEName),
''),
Application.EXEName);

In this case the unit SysUtils must be included in the uses statment.

By the way, I liked your web site a lot.
