Your server must have the component ASPhttp to make this script work. If your host doesn't have it, ask support to install it for you.
The script takes a YouTube video url and teases out the actual, real url of the video flash file, then makes it into a download link for users. It is also useful as an example of how ASPhttp component can be used in fun and creative ways to find obfuscated urls.
The script includes the option to allow saving of videos directly to your server.
This is a 'no bells and whistles' script for you to embellish as you wish. It is free, but if you find it useful, please rate, comment or send me a message.

See updated version (June 27, 2007) at http://qhtimes.com/aspexamples/youtu/ . A couple of Youtube urls changed and I had to update the code to comply.

out every day, so no prevention program can catch 100% of them. For your own safety, please:
Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.
If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net
