A simple treeview solution which loads tree node dynamically using Ajax thus resulting in a faster processing time. The backend code is in ASP although it can easily be ported to other languages such as PHP

Did you change anything in the code?
Also make sure Javascript is enabled (ajax is javascript) on the client and ASP is enabled on the server

When I click on the link to the file, it returns back to explorer.asp because the href is blank. How do I fix it so it will display the file?

Does your URL field in your Menu table have any values?

I am using the folder view only, not the database. When it displays the files of the folder, the link to file is blank.

Add a URL node for each folder/file item in the sub routine [LoadFolderContents] as follows:

objBuf.Append("" & objFile.Name & "")

BTW: You are talking about another TreeView control - http://www.aspwebsolution.com/articles/coder4life/treeview2/asp/index.htm

hi, your code is great,
only there is a simple problem:
the ParentID field has come "0" values, so in case there is a relationship between the MenuID and ParentID the only values acceptable in the ParentID field will be "NULL" or any value from MenuID but NOT "0".
what changes do i need to do to make it work with a proper database ???
