Microsoft Active Directory attribute editor. This MMC plugin is designed to allow you to search AD for a user accounts then quickly and easily modify custom attributes, such as employee number, extensionAttribute1, etc. This allows you to add notes about the usage of these attributes, which appear in the editor screen, for how your organization is using the attribute (e.g. extensionAttribute1 may contain "Facility code for query distribution list").

Unlike Microsoft's ADUC console, you don't have to drill down through your OU structure to find the user object to have access to edit the attributes.

If you've never built an MMC plugin before, this should be a good example for you to work from.

For your own safety, please:
  1. Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
  2. NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.

If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net including:McAfee.com
