The only valid method of encrypting FORM data is using SSL encryption. However, not everyone can or wants to use SSL, but would like to send secured data over forms. For instance: you have a user login page, do you really want to send over the internet the variables 'user' and 'password' without some kind of basic encryption? This code provides a solution. It encodes the fields of a form BEFORE these values are passed to the internet, using 8-bit RSA encryption. The idea is that a javascript function encodes the values using the PUBLIC KEY of the RSA encryption; therefore, the wanna-be packet-sniffer hacker of this code can see this key and the encrypted values but the PRIVATE key is kept in a session variable which is never transmitted to the HTML code. Furthermore, individual keys are generated on EVERY SUBMISSION. This code uses parts of the original RSA encryption design by Asgeir Bjarni Ingvarsson and by William Gerard Griffiths, both authors are represented here on Planet Source Code. Please note that this code does IN NO WAY substitute the security obtained via SSL HTTPS, it is just a way to add a little security to standard non encrypted submissions. USE AT OWN RISK, NO GUARANTEE OF SECURITY NOR PROTECTION IS HEREBY DONE BY THE AUTHOR OF THIS CODE. If you like this code, please rate me. I need this feedback in order to be motivated and continue sharing my work :)

Note: Due to the size or complexity of this submission, the author has submitted it as a .zip file to shorten your download time. Afterdownloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.Virus note:All files are scanned once-a-day by Planet Source Code for viruses, but new viruses come out every day, so no prevention program can catch 100% of them. For your own safety, please:
  1. Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
  2. NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.

If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net including:McAfee.com
