I saw no point in uploading a one liner so here is how you open other programs from your delphi program.
In the uses make sure you add ShellAPI.
The folllowing lines opens up notepad
---- ShellExecute(0,'open',PChar(prog),pchar(params),'',SW_SHOWNORMAL);---- were prog is you typ in the dir and file name, and then params is if you what to open it with special params like
ShellExecute(0,'open',PChar('c:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe'),pchar('-console'), '',SW_SHOWNORMAL); (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

very lovely, i used it to open pdf documents and it worked too (copied an already installed version of a free pdf reader to a cd and opened a pdf document with it so a pdf reader need not be installed on the target system!!) (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
