(About the author)

I have tried and tried to get winsock to connect for over a month now. And finally i got it down! I commented on every line of code. I didnt add anything special to the chat just because i dont want to complicate things for people who ONLY are looking on how to connect using Winsock. please vote for me! thanx

Excellent work! Very simple, no fluff. Microsoft should include this in the next MSDN.

This is sweet! No BS, just functional code. Great job commenting too! It helps a lot. I am thinking I am going to try using your code but making the dataTXT.Text encrypt on send and decrypt on recieve. If its any good I'll send you the code.

this supports only 2 people...
it is simple so others will know how to use winsock and wont be cluttered with options like RichTextBox,winsock arrays and such...

Danniel Errante why don't you post your codes! Email me at vbamateur@hotmail.com If you have the source code for an IM program with buddy list, file transfer, private messaging between two users, offline messaging between buddies when they are not online. And a server to authenticate all users through a database
