This is the upgraded Version to my ASP MessageBoard Version 2.0. In this Version, it contains a better look, new design view for listing the post, Traveling in between threads while viewing a post and last but not least a Search Function.
To the you the truth, This is not the best Bulletin Board that has been posted on PSC, however I made this Bulletin Board with the simplest ASP codes. So you will not see complicated coding in here. A little messy maybe, but nothing difficult.

That sounds cool. how does the IP banning thing work? you can only ban IP's that are static rite? how can you bann a dynamic IP? (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
well, good question. Since in the future, my .NET code will include a login system. Only members are allow to post and edit. So is just banning their accounts. IP Banning probably only works with static ip.. i dunno how to do dynamic.. (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

I tryed to put the code un my asp web page and it produces that error. I supose the cause is the spanish date format (dd-mm-yyy) baut I don't know how can I solve it. [translated into english by me]

in every single file. Case you wanted to change the db connection string, you would have to change every single file.
Put the DBconnectionstring in a sub and call it from an include file.

Good, simple, easy to configure message board. Would like to see improved code for admin area though, so one can delete offensive, irrelevent entries.
One problem I do seem to be experiencing though, it doesn't seem to work on IE6. Is anyone else experiencing this??

hi im new to .asp to but its easy to figure out that the files not there or relocated, its looking in "AberAcademyFiles\BB\db\betaboard.mdb" just locate the file or rename the directory :)
