(About the author)

Originally by Paul Caton (txtCodeId=64867), this is a class that gives your forms a customizable shadow. Updated to use LaVolpe's revamped SelfSub (txtCodeId=68737) and adds support for Windows Vista and Windows 7.

After a this years: A stable, smooth and great form shadow! IDE abort safe, selfcontained in a single drop-in class. Cool! Doesn't hurt on NT4 (checked by me): Just no shadow, ok, but no problem by the gimmick itself. Thx alot, my 5 (dimmed) ***** and regards - LiTe

Can you please expand the class to support any usercontrol owned hdc and hwnd with shadow effect?

this class causes MASSIVE memory leaks - size the control a few times and the memory used continues to grow an d grow and grow

when sizing the shadowed form, memory get used up, but terminating the form does not release the memory - is this called a leak?????????????????????

tonyn, I tested it out today and there is definitely a massive leak on resizing the form. I'll take a look at it when I get the chance. In the meantime, I would recommend others only use this for non-resizable forms (as I had been doing and didn't catch it).
