A nice simple solution for something we all have to deal with. An enhancement suggestion: adding the ability to also store Declarations for a function; for example INI file functions needing API declarations.

That would be nice if you give colors on the preserve words just like in IDE VB6. Anyway, 5 globes from me. Keep up the good work.

This has too many dependencies for being just a glorified database editor. There's also too much hard-coded into the program, when things like this should be more flexible for programmers. Hopefully your revision/update will be simplified, more flexible, and get rid of the OCX dependencies.

AOTChronoTrigger:
OCX??
There is no OCX dependency for this program.
The code is very flexible and nicely commented.
And the interface is too good.
What's wrong??

Hi Ben:

One thing missing: "Sorting"
The codes should be sorted according to the code title.It will be easier to find the codes.
Please include a "Search" option to find codes.

The interface is similar to API-Guide and is very easy to use.

You can see this nice example of Code Library

Thanks.

Good, simple database tool with a clean interface. A few suggestions though:

- Add sub-categories
- Add ability to store whole classes and modules instead of just functions/subroutines (can easily be done by just storing the file(s) as binary data types in a new field).

I like this one, particularly the db implementation. Wouldn't pay too much attention to AOTChronoTrigger, this thing is about as light-weight as it could get. 5*

There are two OCX dependencies:

Object={831FDD16-0C5C-11D2-A9FC-0000F8754DA1}#2.0#0; mscomctl.ocx
Object={F9043C88-F6F2-101A-A3C9-08002B2F49FB}#1.2#0; COMDLG32.OCX

In general, it's best to use OCX/ActiveX ("registered") components as a last resort, and use internal or API-based solutions so that programs are more easily deployed. Although developers are typically "administrators" on the systems they use, that may not always be the case, and users may be unable to register the dependency components. In addition, licensing may prohibit the distribution of some ActiveX/OCX components, as is often the case with Microsoft's OCX files.

I love this brilliant app

Dependencies - bla

Get over your alergy to dependencies people. VB is based on dll's, and can be extended just about without limit simply by accessing external libraries; this project does not even do this!

Great job DreamVB

Happy coding,
Rd :)

Nice! Can you make it IDE Add-In? It will be more helpful as Add-In. Just a suggestion. :-)
