Here is the second installment on the idea that I started last month. This is not a formal application but a sample on how forms can be generated based on the underlaying table. Modification need to be done only to the data_connection.asp file where the developer need to change the connection string, table name and key to acomodate any data he/she may wish. I tested with Oracle SQL server Access Visual FoxPro and works fine with all. For demostration you just extract the files and rename the test_w_tabs.asp file for DEFAULT.asp that's all. Remember change at the data_connection.asp all the variables declared there for your own data sources. VERY IMPORTANT change the data source location at the string connection variable, even to test this sample using SERVER.MAPPATH() function. It does navigate thru the recordset without refreshing the page, it does deletes, inserts, and updates. It does work only with IIS 5, but if you have earlier version of IIS you ned to chage the SERVER.EXECUTE calls for INCLUDE tags, and the SERVER.TRANSFER for RESPONSE.REDIRECT calls.

For your own safety, please:
  1. Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
  2. NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.

If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net including:McAfee.com
