[See Screenshot] Next Generation shell replacement. TFD is most impressive dextop on history of PSC. Using most Hi-Fi functions and technologies of today TFD gives best performance and kilos of functions on normal PC. TFD is complete Media Dextop. New features are enhanced security and Teacher friendly interference. Please vote I have done a lot of hard work for this.
Update:1 ['control.ocx' bug fix, other minor bugs fixed]
Update 2: Added stretching to wallpaper, preview and login screen, added Root Style programs view in start menu, Added a cool Functions Calculator which can be accessed from dextop links, Changed the Skin, Reduced the size of zip to 2.4MB by removing junk files.

It won't load. Says Control.ocx is missing. May be other stuff missing, but that's as far as it will go into the app before crashing without the ocx.

When opening a window size is not full screen 1/2 inch short top n bottom. Needs fast switching between prog and reg desktop. Settings and desktop preferences needs more customization. Lost my taskbar after exiting.

worked for me. Has a lot of nice features and i can see you put a lot of work into this :) good job.
There are a couple of issues: when using high resolutions the background screen isnt stretching, also the media player thing didnt work and did some strange draws. Perhaps Dracullsoft's "ucPlayBar - a MediaPlaybar Control look-a-like" could be usefull? http://www.pscode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=70581&lngWId=1

TFD must be run compiled to be bugs-free
For best performance close VB and run the exe.
Always exit TFD by the big exit button on bottom-left corner.
In the next update I will add a lot things. Including stretching of background.
Media Player works fine on all the PCs i have tested. To run media double-click on the black screen and drag media to playlist.

Hey, I promissed to give this another go.. so here it is. The background is now stretching after setting properties or skin, but not really on first startup. THe media play is still acting strangely ( 4 stop buttons and a slider that appears with mouse over)
It's not straight forward to compile the program because of the use of the ocx and the project file names. I know you are trying to add value with the new function calculator, but i would recommend making the rest of the desktop more stable before adding stuff. (nb: open func calc and click DEL ->runtime 5)
Also, loose the login animation + make the login entry fields / dialog nicer.
Over all really nice looking + some fine shell features: ****
Keep it up. In a few more iterations you will have a 5 star project
