By following the instructions included here, you can build a complete web site for your school!
This thing took me 4+ months to make, and lots of caffeine, so I expect some good ratings. There is lots of good stuff, even if you don't want the whole site. Impersonation, file access, database interfacing, automated Frontpage web administration, etc... Lots more than any other submission I've ever seen.
Here's what's included:
A full-fledged, all features included calendar system with publishing/subscription options, lunch menu, and personal calendars for everyday use
The ability for every user to have their own personal web site (with your permission, of course)
The ability for every club, department, and sports team to have their own site with calendar of events
Document storage on a per-user basis so users can access their files from any web connected PC
Integrated file manager (compatible with Internet Explorer 5 and up and Netscape 6 and up, other maybe)
Built-in administration tools
System relies on NT domain security for highest possible degree of integration with existing network

Joust is used for the menu; I believe that is copyrighted open-source freeware (http://www.ivanpeters.com/).

When I try to run this app (index.asp)I get the error: Error Type: ADODB.Recordset (0x800A0BB9) Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another. /apps_misc/webroot/home.asp, line 44

Line 44 is "rstemp.CursorLocation = adUseClient". This means that you aren't connecting to the database, or your ODBC driver doesn't know what you're doing. If you send me your connection string, and what kind of database you're using (Access, SQL) I could help some more. (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

Nice software. It would be great to have an ex-pupils section. It would allow people who were in a school to keep contact with each other as well as post their professional information for networking purposes. It could be database driven and list people by year of graduation, etc... A forum reserved to people from a certain year could also allow them to communicate between each other. I have many more ideas if you would like to contact me. Keep up the good work! Thank you.
