Example using GDI+ to warp string paths. GDI+ has two warping options but one is buggy. The attached code is basically a revised c++ post found on codeguru and combined with other ideas. Limited to simple paths only, the class can be modified by you to include other things like shapes, images, etc. Must have GDI+ to run project. 17Jan08: Added more path functions, added another Warp mode (common skew), a few more examples, and minor stuff.

Nice effects: Be an interesting maths exercise to reproduce some of the effects without GDI+.

FYI. Use true type fonts only which wasn't mentioned in code comments.

Robert: Not overly familiar with path APIs; however, if path points can be obtained from GDI path, modified, & set, then very doable with just GDI. Trying to ensure bkwd compatibility for all O/S was a priority with me and no longer will be starting this year.

P.S. Have decided to focus on only GDI+ for any new graphics routines; only bringing in GDI when GDI+ doesn't cut the mustard. GDI+ is available on Win98 & above, standard on XP & above; anyone still using those systems have the option of downloading it from Microsoft.

One question: You think add more effects in the example?

Thx.

Ths is cool. I'm getting more and more into graphics a lot more this past year due mainly to your post. Your code is generally well organized and clean. In fact your code is of the quality that however you class it(beginner to advanced), you'll likely get top votes for it.

Dear Keith,
I have tested this code...
Really Superb !
Still I am playing with it...
Really Amazing....
I think you can include Textured Fill for the Text as your immediate update.

Thanks for your great submission.

I need to play with this some more, but i thought i would ask. Is it possible to skew an image in the same way the text is done? Basically i am thinking this could be used to create a cover flow type view.. Of course i might be barking up the wrong tree here.
