Generate source code from binary COM Components.Locate the binary components which exposes some public members and this tool will generate the source code for public members And you may now write the functionality for them. This is very useful if you have to build some solution bases on already existing object model and you don't have code for that. With this tool vb6 source code is generated and youmay write the rest of functionality. This is also good to study the obejct model of 3rd part tools or application.
Note: Due to the size or complexity of this submission, the author has submitted it as a .zip file to shorten your download time. Afterdownloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.Virus note:All files are scanned once-a-day by Planet Source Code for viruses, but new viruses come
out every day, so no prevention program can catch 100% of them. For your own safety, please:
Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.
Scan the source code with Minnow's Project Scanner
If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net

Sorry about that but it is only used to locate the binary component. Remove the reference to AMSUtilities Add Compoment : Microsoft Windows Common Dialog Control And replace the following code Private Sub cmdLocate_Click()
Dim pFileName As String CDOPen.ShowOpen If (CDOPen.FileName <> "") Then pFileName = CDOPen.FileName txtPath.Text = pFileName End If End Sub
This will solve the issue. Will fix this issue in another version of this components (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
The name of this Project is little confusing, it's not creating the Source Code, actually it's gathering the basic Component Object Model from compiled ActiveX. Instead of going for this concept, I would like to suggest you to implement your same logic (with some extra efforts needed of course) and try to write a decent CHM help file maker for the compiled DLL/OCX. Create Help File navigation tree from the Object Model (you are already collecting the Public members of component, right?) and then extract the Help String (if available), put it in a really good looking Help File template and compile the whole stuff into CHM. This will be more useful. Nevertheless, this project also has something to present the tricks and techniques, so not at all saying that it's not worth. Personally, it's not useful to me, so I will not vote for this project, but would surely like to say thanks for sharing your code with all of us. Do you know how to easyly find other Binary COM components in the handred of DLL files of the system (to test your programm with other files) ? (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
