This script displays records retrieved from the database. You can sort each field and jump to any page in the database. You can customize the records per page and all the colors. You may also attatch a style sheet to change the colors of each class type. this script is very close to being XML compatable. (still in the works).

I went in and configured the 1stTemplate.asp to read from my database. Received the following error:error 'ASP 0115' Unexpected error /development/planet_source_code_sortedrecordlistingwithsearch/lstTemplate.asp A trappable error occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running. Please advise.

Ok, I'm going to make a guess - but I am 84 sure that this is the reason. In the database file, you may see a line that says Set loRegExp = New RegExp. This required vbScript 5.0 or higher. It is near the bottom and is used for parsing advanced searches.

I've been trying to implement your system. Like the design on the example jpg. Having a problem though. Am new to ASP program and still have trouble with syntax. I noticed in your database.asp page you are accessing an access driver. How would I make this work with a sql database. Have gotten a query to work and return results but then I get caught with errors trying to read the records values (i.e. loRS.pagecount). Any suggestions?

Downloaded your code. I really like the look of your .jpg example. Am having trouble though (probably due to my inexperience with database and asp programming). Am not working with an Access database. Want to make it work with a sql database. Can make a query run in the 1stRecord.asp page if I create the object there (not using the loRS.Open(...)) but if I do that, I get caught when I try to read the values in the loRS record (i.e. loRS.pagesize). Is there any way to manipulate the sCONNECTION_STRING so that I can read from a SQL database? If you need any more information, please email me. Thanks.

I have downloaded the code, but the database.mdb is missing. Also, it appears that some edtCommunities.asp. addCommunities etc files are missing as well. Therefore, code does NOT work, needs modifications. Any new files, updates, database files available somewhere?

No MDB file is present for this version. Version 2 comes with an MDB file. Please look for it on PSC with other code I have listed.
