Just a humorous depiction of what the beginning of the universe just might have been like, had God been using a computer at the time. Thanks to http://accessnewage.com/articles/humor/humor4.htm for the original "manuscript" and http://www.planetsourcecode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=448&lngWId=1 for the audio code.

Lol, gave me a laugh and i like the typing routine with the random typos its very neat though not random enough, you should put a Randomize statement in the Form_Load sub, i give 5 outta 5

This is funny!

As we execute dominance over our own computer, do we not wonder who is actually in charge ... us or the computer?!! This portrays the answer on a cosmic scale.

I give this 5 for the humor alone.

Hang in there and thanks for sharing!

Very enjoyable. Thanx. Tip for others. Autohide your taskbar or set to not always on top, then Alt Tab when program finishes, so you can close it.

For those people you want to give this to, who are not so computer literate, I took the liberty of adding two lines of code at the end of the Private Sub run() routine, that will give your audience a chance to see the last screen, then exit.

pause(12000)
End
This appears to exit clean, with no residual after effects.

I should point out several things

First, I did not come up with the original outline of what happens. That has existed for years. I simply changed it around a bit and put it into a real-time format.

Secondly, I made this for a short film (using screen-capture for this part), and therefore I wanted to be able to make changes and for the rest of it to be exactly the same every time, which is why there is no Randomize statement, and why the code is admittably somewhat messy.

Finally, I mostly uploaded the code purely for the entertainment value, not to show off any particular programming technique. That being said, I also particularily like the random mis-typings.

Also, another way to quit is to simply hit [Ctrl]+[Break] and then push the End button (at least, in the VB6 IDE)

Maybe I should have been more specific and stated that my solution was for those of us who wished to compile it to an executable. My Bad :)

Funny, yes, but as far as code goes, defently not worth all the votes it has recieved. I dont want to vote 1 and be an @$$, but it defently doesn't deserve a 5.

To respond to Eng.MSaif, Roger D Taylor, and Spodii: Not a heretic as such. Atheist perhaps, Agnostic perhaps, and I didn't even come up with the idea. Next, it is a good thing that code is not a precious commodity which could so easily be wasted as some lead us to believe, Mr. Taylor. Finally, as far as the category that this code is in, "Humor/Jokes," the 5* rating does not reflect the level of coding in general, but more specifically, the level to which it lives up to humor.

'In response to Eng.MSaif, Roger D Taylor, and Spodii...' GET A LIFE! - This is JUST a JOKE & I feel a very clever and FUNNY example.

I think part of the problem here (and w/other posts) is that PSC doesn't identify the category of the posting anywhere that I can see. I think PSC used to. Therefore, anyone looking at any post really doesn't know if it is a joke or not, serious code or not, etc. I would think most would be able to interpret humor from your description though. Maybe PSC should display categories somewhere with the post title again?

Not my favorite example of well written code ;) but the result is highly funny and entertaining. Laughter is probably the only medicine that is free... and works. And we certainly need it! 5 angels for you (no need to create them).

Well I thought it was brilliant. I didnt look at the code at all...I just saw it for what it was (I think) supposed to be...a creation parody done on a computer. And as such it was excellent..visually the typing effect was brilliant, the sound effects were coordinated and appropriate and the text...well...it was FUNNY. Thankyou so much for sharing this...made me smile before I went to bed :) 5 stars

Well its funny ( not a waste of code at all) i dont care whether the code is messy or not there is no advanced techniuqe there so there is no need to view the code ( thats my openion at least) nice deserves 3/5 and certinaly doesn't deserve to win the contest good job not great but couldn't have been any better

Nice, I never though of adding random typos. This idea should come in handy when I update my Typekeys function. Thanks for the comment.

A work of genius simply cant be determined by measuring how much one knows about the VB knowledge. Creativity, ingenuity and innovations are the ones that makes Einstein and bill gates in different success perspective.....I would hire you !!

Who cares about how nice the code is?? Getting away and having a moment to just chuckle and laugh is what this was all about. It was to give us a moment of levity and laughter and for that alone it was worth the effort he put into this.
