FYI: You can change the bar color & backcolor of a VB progress bar using SendMessage API with pbm_SetBarColor & pbm_SetBkColor messages.

I know this code is a few years old ,,,,,,, BUT COME ON LETS BE REAL HERE,,, How can you even think to call that "A color Progress Bar" when 1 it is not a ProgressBar at all,,, IT IS JUST 2 SHAPES made into long Rectanles and laid over top of each other,, How does 2 SHAPES make it a ProgressBar ????

I've cleaned up the code for you -

Option Explicit

Function DrawProgress(Value As Integer, ctlShape As Shape)
ctlShape.Width = Value * 82.95 ' Write here the value for one percent
End Function

Private Sub Form_Load()
Call DrawProgress(Text1.Text, Shape2)
End Sub

Private Sub Text1_Change()
If Text1.Text > 100 Then Text1.Text = 100
Call DrawProgress(Text1.Text, Shape2)
End Sub
