The property transparentkey does not work with s.o. like win98 e winme because does not support windows layered. This routine is an alternative technique to make a windowsform or control transparent also in win98, winme like 2k e xp.

love the code. everything worked excellently. i have one problem that i haven't been able to sort out though. when i take my application to a vista computer, i click on a "browse" button that shows a save file dialog box, i get an error from vista's "just in time" debugger. if i click continue to ignore the error, the program continues to function, but the background image isn't visible. it's just white with a red X. the image is in the directory with the program and loads fine until that one dialog is displayed. any ideas?
