To use this program do I put the other persons IP in Remote Host or mine if I'm hosting? Basically what is the difference between Connect and listen? Looks like a great program.

If you are hosting the chat, click on listen, it doesn't matter what is in the Remote IP Text Box. If you are connecting to a Host, you have to enter the remote IP into the Remote IP Text Box. I am currently working on the full help file for this progrm, give me a day or two...:o)

Hmm... does this work over a client/server firewalled network... like Netware, where one has no access to the main server?

Cool Coding! Just a suggestion how about, if I was not to click listen? What if I just click on connect and then alert a message to the other line that I want to chat, then click accept and alas!!! we're connected...can we do that? Cause I'm trying to modify the coding to work that way although I don't have that much knowledge using the winsock...all I haveis the MSDN...what can you say???
