ws.SendData "USER " & UserName & " 0 * " & RealName & vbCrLf

should be

ws.SendData "User " & "your@email.com" & " " & ws.LocalHostName & " " & ws.RemoteHost & " :" & "Your Real Name" & vbCrLf

it might not connect to some servers the way u put it...you also have no ident... most servers will not let you connect without a ident

Nice and neat commented coding lol :) Connected to most servers fine however I couldn't connect to quakenet with it, I tried changing the way it registers with ident etc but couldn't get it to work on qnet. It seemed to be registering fine, but would disconnect when it joined. Is there a reason for this?

hmm just to help you guys i had the problem with quakenet to i found the problem its in the ping it must be this

If InStr(strData, "PING :") <> 0 Then
ws.SendData Replace(strData, "PING", "PONG") & vbCrLf
End If

but this is only example when someone types PING : hello it will send PONG : hello.

It sends in RAW IRC commands

I suggest breaking up strData into an array denoted by the space character and checking param 0 for PING

To send a message into a channel use the PRIVMSG command, but instead of a username, type the channel. Example:
sIRC.SendData "PRIVMSG " & sChan$ & " " & sMsg$ & vbCrLf

The data received by the server would be, just for an example:
PRIVMSG #Example the message
