This demonstrates how to create a form using API only. It also creates a edit control (textbox) and a button control (command button). It subclasses the form and the command button and when the command button is clicked a message box pops up. Code is heavily commented and explains to you EXACTLY what the code does. If you have difficulty understanding the code, then don't hesitate to e-mail me. I'll be glad to help.

Afterdownloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.Virus note:All files are scanned once-a-day by Planet Source Code for viruses, but new viruses come out every day, so no prevention program can catch 100% of them. For your own safety, please:
  1. Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
  2. NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.
  3. Scan the source code with Minnow's Project Scanner

If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net including:McAfee.com

This is really GREAT!
But how exactly is this useful or what advantage does this provide. But i like it, you did a great job commenting the code..unlike a lot of people here who claim theirs is well commented

Great comments and coding, though I'd like to point out that if you release the left button when the cursor isn't over the button, then your event fires although the button wasn't fully clicked.. ya know?
Also, some comments on what the constants, such as CS_VREDRAW and CS_HREDRAW, do would be nice.
Keep up the great work!
