It provides classes for animation, bitmaps ( BMP, PCX, GIF, DIBs) , sound, DirectX surface management, surface layering and transparency, dirty-rectangle management, integration of MPEG and AVI video into DirectX surfaces and layers, clipping, DirectSound, fonts, custom bitmap fonts, palette management, RLE compression, viewports, image tables, bitmap management, DirectX windowed and full-screen modes including runtime swapping between modes, events, user-interface objects, and more.

hi... sorry for disturbing you. ok the reason that i wrote this email is i want some help from a pro in c++ with direct x. i want to make a 2d game but i have some problem on how to make a shadow for the character sprite in different angle. that all i hope you can help me with this problem. actually i'm was a newcomer in c++.
