Hi,
I've created a game called UNO. You can play against 3 computer opponents. I add some fun animation here, so that the game looks cooler. I add a simple animation that you can play on, by entering a formula you can create your own animation. I hope you like it. Enjoy! ;-)

A lovely design, nice effects and fast coding but after a few hands it crashes with an "Object is already loaded", usually at the first statement in sub AlignNames

If you can fix the crashes, it's will be a great game, also I don't have the Arial Narrow font so it crashes in the usercontrol.

Where do I get the Microsoft Scripting Control? I have Windows 98 SE and it is not included and I can't find the download on Microsoft. I tried it on my Windows 2K machine and it worked fine, but I want to play it on my Windows 98 SE computer.

I've just been trying this new version and you do seem to have fixed the bug I described earlier. Just a couple of comments - there is a minor bug in sub SaveSettings which crashes the program because it assumes the path app.path/data/ exists. It is sometimes impossible to tell what colour is being played - for example it was on green then an opponent played a wild draw 4 and I can tell what colour we're on - a visual indicator (eg a small pic-box which simply changes colour) would be a big improvement. Finally, I hate the messagebox saying who starts - very crude. Otherwise a great program - you got my 5.

Installed this game on my home computer under Windows XP Home Edition. Then I had to BEG my Wife 2 hours later to let me have my computer back. Runs great. Would be nice if your hand was sorted with all the same colors together. 5 *'s from me.

Suggestion: Have the active color displayed somewhere (in status bar or somewhere). When the computer changed colors I didn't know what it was?!?!

If you add some extra panels within sbStatusBar,
go into the Module: ModMain and
edit the Public Sub Gradient
with the following crude code at the end of the existing code:
Select Case Color
Case Is = 0: frmMain.sbStatusBar.Panels(1).text = "Now playing: Blue"
Case Is = 1: frmMain.sbStatusBar.Panels(1).text = "Now playing: Red"
Case Is = 2: frmMain.sbStatusBar.Panels(1).text = "Now playing: Green"
Case Is = 3: frmMain.sbStatusBar.Panels(1).text = "Now playing: Yellow"
End Select
frmMain.sbStatusBar.Refresh
It is easier to tell which color you are on. Also it doesn't hurt to hide the logo when you start a new game with:
Set picTable.Picture = Nothing
picTable.AutoRedraw = True
and then RepaintLogo if you win and then hide it again when you deal again.
This is a great game and some fancy code. Find an UNO icon to pretty up the executable. Great work! *****

I found another "bug": set the option to play with 4 players (you and 3 pc's), name the three PC's (in the right order): PC 1, PC 2 and PC 3. Now play, and as you will see, pc 1 is above on the screen, PC 2 is left on the screen, and PC 3 right, and they play in this order. Wouldn't it be more logical to name them in clockwise order? PC 1 left, PC 2 above, PC 3 right?

I've played this game for years, and had downloaded it a few times from unknown sources, been a member of pscode for a very long time, was impressed to find this here today, as UNO cannot be found as an online game anywhere, keep up the good work, 5 stars from me, i also have the stand alone version as well, must had been written by you also

A friend of mine compiled the code for me, and I'm getting the following error:
"Run-time error '429':
ActiveX component can't create object."
This is the first thing that happens when I try to run it. My OS is WIN 98SE and I'm using DirectX 9.0.
What's wrong? What am I lacking?
