ASTEROIDS!!!, pretty big project, full game. Well i finally fixed the annoying bugs and added a few new features. I also shaved the graphics files out of the zip file since they are contained in the frx. I also have the compiled version available at my website in a distributable format, i.e. setup proggy. anyway, enjoy.

Yeah, i made the graphics using 3D studio Max 2.0 and touched them up a bit using Adobe Photoshop 5. It was a fun project, The only thing i'm not happy with is the players physics, maybe someone can make it a little more accurate. when i get time i hope to update it with multiple lives, high score, etc, etc, really polish it off.

It should work if you have VB 5, or VB 6 installed. I am assuming that you are trying to run the .exe file, if for some reason it will not execute load the source code in VB and recompile (or run from the IDE). Other than that, i have no idea without the exact error messages displayed. . . . This code was not meant to be distributed soley for playing the game (although that is an added side benefit) it was distributed in source form with hopes that someone else could learn something from the techniques used and make their games better. in anycase i hope you get it going, it's mildly entertaining. and thanks for any feedback.

Just a reminder that this is now the latest version. I fixed the ship physics (best i could) fixed the timing routine so it's runs the same speed on all computers, added a high score feature. so if you downloaded before 11-11-99, you may want to grab this version. i have the distribution files on my web page (setup program). thanks for all the comments/feedback! gracias, danke, gratitudine, remerciements, thanks.

great code, but you need to try and put a pause option, so if the user has to take a big dump, but he cant because he is on level 50, and thats the best hes ever done, he can just press pause, cuz if hes doin that good he might just would rather pause the game, then take a dump in his pants.

This game runs slow on a 2.4GHz, Runs smooth on my 233MHz creeper. Maybe your dads junker has some probs!!!! I bet its a Gateway no, wait a Compaq! hehehe
