WOW! WOW! WOW! and did i mention its cool?
(If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

11/13/2002 2:34:18 PMM1K3

Very nice, but it doesn't unload correctly. You may want to check for mem leaks...
(If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

11/13/2002 2:39:46 PMM1K3

Suggestion:

Put this in the form unload:

Private Sub Form_Unload(Cancel As Integer)

Dim ctrl As Control
For Each ctrl In frm_Main
Set ctrl = Nothing
Next ctrl
End

End Sub

This takes care of the problem...

Very good. If you'd like help on using dynamic menus vs static, showing the system menu (when you right click titlebar), resizing form, and some other suggestions just email me. Again, good job.

this is incredible! some of the best work i've seen on psc!
(If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

11/13/2002 4:45:30 PMGoodGuy

This looks excellent. Do build it up to be a full skin including the dynamic menus. 5 marbles just looking at the preview.

This is certainly one of the better examples I've seen on PSC. It's not the worlds greatest, but pretty good none the less. definately worth 5 globes for the effort. keep up the great work.

11/13/2002 9:12:11 PM

ohhh.. prettier!
5*z again..
*wonders about form resizing*
The last version seemed to take awhile to full screen aswell..
it still looks sharp though.

Once again FANTASTIC code... ***** from me. Just one thing, i would believe you would be very high on the hall of fame if u could make a program that automatically skins a project (which is very possible)

Perhaps on vb-accelerator.
Don't know...
Anyway, good job!

Nice Code.
But there are some little bugs...
-I'm Using Big Fonts and the toolbar doesn't draw the icons where they should be drawn.
-flickering Is annoying (mainly on the toolbar).
-The ListObject doesn't draw properly (On the bottom of the list).
-No hovering Effects on ControlBox Buttons :(
-Buttons have a fixed Height ?
-And It's too Hard and Boring set the SkinPath for each control, a Single Routine should do It in the whole App.

I hope you Fix some of this bugs and Re-Submit, I don't want to vote with 4 ( I know this is a great work, but those small bugs...), so I'll Wait the next release for vote.
Regards.

11/16/2002 7:02:57 AMAhmed Adel

that's so cool .. i like the idea so much ... i think all the loading of the conrtols could be encapsulated in one automated procces .. like the form control shuold seach for the availble skinnable controls on screen and apply it's skin to them and load them automatically ... so that i won't have to load each control by my self ... in the end mostly all of the controls will be using the same skin ...
but still great work ... ..... 5 globes ..

Theres a Control called ActiveSkin if you want to check that out. It skins everything by typing 2 functions. Nice job though. I hope you fix all the bugs. Good luck. **** for me.

This is amazing! I have no qualms with this at all, except that i have to mod the code so you can use custom skins, but it's great! congrats on all the hard coding and and all the work put into the skins.

I am not descouraging u. the real problem is that the speed of the program is very low while changing the skins even my pc is P4. and u must destroy the object and controls while unloading

I'm having a bit of a problem with the
SkinableButton: When its depressed it stays flat and doesn't return to its original state and I can't use it to
"Play, Resume, Pause, Stop" an *.mpeg
file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All in all this is a great program!!
Keep up the good work

Okay, I figured that out.

Private Sub Form_MouseMove(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, x As Single, y As Single)

frm_Main.cmdExit.Refresh
frm_Main.cmdPlay.Refresh
frm_Main.cmdPause.Refresh
frm_Main.cmdResume.Refresh
frm_Main.cmdStop.Refresh
End Sub

Thanks again for all of your efforts.

9/5/2012 8:11:43 PMJeffrey K. Deaton

Yeah, thanx for using some of my custom skins and not mentioning me. Your code and interface are good, but it would have been nice to mention "JEFF DEATON" in at least ONE of your skins. Everyone, do a search for "JEFF DEATON" and you'll find 11 skinable skins and how to skin a borderless VB form. ( It also won code of the month. )
