A complete backup application that runs in the system tray, you can:
- select files or entire folders (including subdirs) to backup;
- select the source drives (local or network);
- specify the target directory (local or network);
- specify an interval in which the backup occurs or a unique time in the day;
- specify the days of the week;
- select full or incremental backup.
It optionally generates a log with all files backed up.

I like this code but not quite what I wanted. I have several versions of the same file in different folders that I want backing up. This code will only backup one copy. I want to retain the directory structure, be able to backup to two locations and be able to exclude certain file types - eg large exe files when I just want to backup source VB. Good code though! Awesome! just awesome!... is there an updated version of this code?, there were great suggestions (i.e Preserve dir structure, compression, & a restore function)
My question is: can I use a CD Writer to write the data to? If not? Can this be implemented?...

I downloaded your wonderful code to backup files. It's awesome. thanks for it. I need to modify the code in order to meet my requirements. And I would appreciate if you can mail me the working edition of VB project code. Because the one I downloaded from Planet-source-code.com does not work. I could run it from VB but it crashes when I try to goto form design mode to make changes. I would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

First of all, nice code. This works very well for a simple backup. However, I would like to know how to backup the directory structure as well. I am wondering if the author or someone else has modified the code in order to do this. I have not worked too much in file manipulation in VB, so I am at a loss when trying to make this copy with the directories. I am sure it is an easy fix for some of you.
