This is my Best Game Project since I learn VB 4 years ago. I'm 16. This project are already over 1 year(January 2001 until now) of making . I never since before adopt pet games in computer that greatest than this! Just like Digimon that you play, u can fight with your friends digimon. In this game, it through TCP/IP to connect and fight or you can fight with computer! There are many many many many game ideas that I think out, like: Online Ranking(You will get scores in the battle), Professional hire(Hire a Professional(Robber, Theif, ...) and throught TCP/IP to steal information from your friend digimon or steal his money), Online Transfer Money(Like Cheque), Games like... Lottery, Casino(to earn credit[credit is use for gainning ur pets defences, health, attack....]), Online Tournament And many many many more....!!! It also contain many VB-BESTsource like Half-Transparent(WINNT) form, internal sound(midi), Form skin(from VBAccelator), Check for UPDATE(Online) and many more.... It's really many many many function!!!!!!!!!(Just download and see!). All online function is really works cause we found a ASP server(like online score will store at there). I lost my 1.85 source code because I formmated the d:\ while the source code I haven't backup. Anyway, I got backup my lastest Version(1.75) and the compiled .exe file in my other computer but I will try to rewrite the source code back until 1.85. I will try my best to release the 1.85 source code as fast as I can(I'm working on it every day! but sometimes rellly can't remember where I edited, so I need some times). This is an interesting game. Just a couple of things:
1. Give your forms and module meaningful names. You have 42 forms name form1 to form42. Someone who has been programming a few months would give meaningful names.
2. The coordinates on the menus are poor. They activate in the lower half of each menu name and if you are near to left hand side of the menu name, it highlights the menu on the left. A first year programmer could work out the target region of the menu.
3. When fighting, instead of pressing ALT-S have a button that says fight.
4. The digimon should wake up when energy gets to 100, instead of wasting money.

Personally, I fail to see how you could have made this project, without getting extremely confused. You have left every control and form etc., as it's default Visual Basic name! Every time you want to reference a control in your code, you'd have to think, oh was that Form21 or Form23, it would kill me! Meaningful names, such as frmLogin, frmOptions, frmHelp etc. are much easier on both the programmer, and people who download it from PSC.
There are also quite a few bugs present in the application, especially regarding the menus. The menus only detect a click if you click on them in certain places.
Also, when I compiled the application and tried to run the executable, everything was completed frozen, so I had to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out of it. I tried recompiling with various compile options on and off, all to no avail.
Apart from that, the game looks interesting, but what I do like is the interface, apart from the menu problems, the interface's very well done. (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)

The name of the form is not confusing me because I'm working with a form for a few days! You can see it! All form are include hundrad of lines.... Once you get finished with the "beta" versions, you could begin to sell this. Ahh..good actually released the code..I have to say as a concept, it is pretty darn cool. Digimon/Pokemon/ Monster fighting maybe fourth grade as someone says, but it makes for an excellent concept of what could be an interesting game for anyone. 5 globes from me. I have to agree and say that this is a great game but the coding and naming convention should be better. It's great that the original programmer can understand all the default names, unformatted lines and little commented code but when you put code out here on PSC to check out and rate for you- certain standards are expected. If you make the code confusing and the form names form1-42, people may get upset. No matter how much time and effort you put into, and it looks like you did a lot of work, there is certain coding techniques (http://www.planetsourcecode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=30348&lngWId=1) that helps other coders better understand your code.
I look forward to seeing updates to this project code. When you have a neat program like this everyone wants to see how you did it - so make it easy for us to learn and understand how you did it by following a few Coding and Commenting Conventions.

Excellent game! (Although I'm not a Digimon fan.) Why use "Digimon" anyway?? Why not Digipet or Battle Monster???
But still, your coding is somewhat (very) spaghetti. Yeah I agree that it's your method but if you want ppl to understand your code you should make it nicer. This is Planet-Source-Code not Planet-of-Games-that-Give-Away-Source-Codes. Majority of ppl come here to study programming, not only to download games or applications.

I think you made a really cool game. But I do have a few comments. When a battle is finished and you click the 'Back' button, the program crashes.
