Thank You all for voting this project that I have posted on PSC. I will lanch a new update in 3 months . In this I will include HyperLink property, stretch image property, and maybe < if i can > the unsizable image insert in the RTB. Thank You all again.

Well this HL Rich Text Box has that function. It has a SelHColor Function. In addition, I also include a Transparency Function. You can add a picture so that you would have a background picture behind your RTB. PLEASE VOTE HERE IF YOU LIKE IT... Brotha you will get my vote! But please help me with this! Add to it that you can add pictures to text like in MSN messenger and that they aren`t resizable! If you do that you are great brotha!!!!!

Your one of my ppl Refik... You know why? Well your one of those ppl who wonder about usercontrols that are created that so no one can copy.... With the thing you said above. I picture thing.. let me give you a hint.. I am working on a secret project of my own right now>>> It's the UDMX HL RTB.. Just think it like this.. the Aim and MSN text box are not exactly RTB format... It's HTML ..I'll probably be done with that picture lock option in a few week< If I have time after school > ... HI! How are you? If you need any help for therichtext control you do just ask! I found out how to insert the picture into richtext box very fast, you just copy the image and paste it into the richtextbox, thats the fastest solution as I know! I don`t know how tomake the images not resizable so that I can select the text and the image isn`t resizable like in MSN messenger!!!

Guess what.......I found out a new code.. I found this code in PSC.. however, it not as good after I edit it as I see it... Now it's really faster.. What am I talking about.??? Well.. it is the Hyperlink option.. I will spend more time uploading and making new version if and only if <=> I win.. Or may just 20 votes. of excellent.. Ok so.. I don't have to win.. just 20 vote < excellent>..Thx for your time

hahahaha.. You are just like me... hahahah I would be exactly like you if I wasn't the one who made this... It's good to here that someone had understand this Project.. There should be more people voting for this.. Especially the people who are dealing with winsock for making a chat soft or even a Word Processor that does not have it's OCX using implements..Thx Alex..

Nice code. You should consider adding the Undo and Redo functionality to the ocx raising events to allow programmers to handle toolbars accordingly. Hyperlinks would be very useful as well...

Nice, but......
I realy dont care about the background picture etc. What is important to me (and I think to a lot of other users here too) is the completeness of this RTF editor. For Instance: Whenever you select text and do something with it (like change font or color) you loose your selection (major annoyance). Also if you position the cursor on a word, the toolbar should reflect the formating. For instance the font and size should display the font and size of the word you are on etc.
Sorry for the flame, but there are millions of text editors on the net that use the RTF control (and they all lack the functionality that I mentioned earlier) :-).
If I were you, I would include the format toolbars in the ocx, this way a developer just needs to drop the control on a form and all (simple) functionality of a text editor is right there.

about those toolbars ... maybe have a true/false property in your control to have the default toolbar visible ... but also add methods to the control so that developers could add their own toolbars to their forms if they wanted to. just a thought -- pretty good btw
