Another neat program! You could probably make this code even shorter like so:


open(AB, "sample.txt");
open(CD, ">sample_temp.txt");
while() {
print CD $_;
}
Sure, I didnt close the fstreams... but I'm a sloppy coder who goes for the shorter program ;-) Most of the time, it wont really affect the code... unless you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY need the code to operate on every friggin standard install of Perl... in which case, there wont be any cutting of corners ;-)

Or just use File::Copy :)

use File::Copy;
copy($to, $from) or die $!;
