This one's a fixed version of the last one. Thanks to the help of others, i've included the CLOSE function... This is a ZIPPED version as well, so it comes with the EXE version and the source code! I still need help on figuring out how to control multiple CD drives....so if you can, help US. E-Mail me: vale-of-tranquility@Juno.com

thanks -Q-2. i was thinking last night that i needed
to find out a way for 2 drives and to close it.. i just
got mine to use the other cd-rom, but didn't save my code..
but as bored as i get, i'll probably figure that out. and
to close the drive should be fairly easy to work out, i'm pretty
sure it has to do with sending the right MCI strings.. i'll figure
something out. and if anyone else can, PLEASE help us out!!!

Hersey,

If you submit code to this site, sometimes (for some reason) it doesn't
keep comment tick marks ('). You'll notice this on a lot of code submissions. I think he probably put the ' in there.

thanks... i should've know it would've been "set cd door closed" i had been using
"set cd door close". i think you'll all be able to figure out how to get it to
change when you open it. (so when you click the button to open, it'll open, and when
you click again, it'll close.) if you don't, mail me and i'll try to help you out.
still don't know what the hell is going on with 2 drives, but i'll work on it.

7/28/1999 5:34:00 PMheresy (again)

it's me again.. i've now made a fixed version of this.
i don't really want to post it until i figure out the multiple drive
situation. the one i just made is nothing special, it just makes it to OPEN and
CLOSE. i guess my description lied.
BUT you don't have to mail me for it, look at YARON'S fix and you could *probably* figure
it out, but mail me otherwise. and please do try to figure out the multiple drive code.
thanks again.

Heresy, you are a hard guy to contact!
the vale of tranquility etc etc is a web site and your personal site is not functional. Anyway, a cdplayer was submitted to planet source a few months ago by RJSoft I think it has been removed now.
If so, and you haven't seen the code and you want to get a copy? email me at hgrover@wizbang.com.au and I will send it. (if you have a valid email address that is???) Search on planet first for 'RJ Soft CD Player'

Heresy, when going through the code and looking at the interface, I noticed you use two different button objects for open and close. I don't know if this has been brought to you before, but in case it hasn't; it would save on the amount of lines used if you used one button object and just changed the caption when it is clicked; then have an If statement to check what the caption is to determine what the function will perform.

hi. I cant find your web stie in geocites. Please provide code to open and close multiple drives and make my program aware if the CD drive was manually opened or closed (i.e. The cD Drive Eject button was pressed by the user). Thanks a lot.
