This script has only a password box. You can have multiple users and have them redirected to a specific page. This script has been made so that no one can view the source code. View the demo at my site http://freescripts.ws and try to see if you can view the source. The demo passwords are "1" through "10"

Hey! This is a great code for webpages that are not very important.. but this IS crackable.. and let me explain.
First off you should have 3 windows open.
http://ais.cms.k12.nm.us/~cmerrill/unescape.html

http://ais.cms.k12.nm.u s/~cmerrill/source.html

and
then the password protected page

Now view the frame source page. Where you have your escaped charachters put them in to the unescape.html.. that will convert the code to

"normal" text.
Find the frame page.
Now go to the source.html page and insert the corrosponding url. and click submit and it shows the source code. Although it's crackable it's a very nice code indeed.
Happy Programming,

I know you can view the unescape to get to the source page but I don't see how to view the source because it alerts you and then redirects you. I did what you said but I wasnt able to see the source code on the script page.

I remember some time ago, a guy made a script here that could view source without going through that alert thing. It was document.source or something.

And if you were really desperate to get the source but couldn't do it any other way. Connect to it using a socket program (hand made or otherwise). It'll work every time.

I think you should store the password in a database. Anyone can see the password ( as it's there in the coding).

Wow!
This is an excellent piece of code.

Is it possible to write a code that will allow new users to be created?

Could you store the passwords and userd in an acess database and create a program to allow new users to create their own ID and password?

Thank you for sharing the code,
MD
