Enter in an IP address and subnet mask and will return information about that IP and network ID. Tells what the network ID is for that IP, All Possible network ID possible from mask, number of hosts allowed on each network, number of subnets allowed from Mask, Number of bits userd in mask, Lists all Network ID's and Broadcast ID's, what class the IP is, If the IP is reserved or public, if the IP is good to assign to a host.

It's nice to see someone making advanced concepts easier for people to understand. With comsumer routers/DHCP servers becoming more commonplace, this could definately help some people out.
And not to rain on your parade, but in the current screenshot (Apr 02,2001) the lower right frame looks like it isn't in proper position.

Yeah, I seen that but that picture is from my last compile and I didn't feel like recompiling after I fixed it. It should be in the right position in the code.
I wrote this to help me understand this more and it has help me, I hope it can help others as well. If anyone has any sugestions to improve this please feel free to post them here.

I tried a subnetmask of
208.213.146.192 and got an error.
(needs to be xxx, 192, xxx ,xxx)
Think we have a validation problem.
I'll fix it on my end..

that error is a simple fix.
in the code you will see <> 0 or <> 255 ect. ect. just add the <> 192 and viola.

I have not resentment for you. the code is good i admit.. 5 rates (you think i must decreas 1 rate for each injury you make to me? hem -100 does not exist on planet rates :)
i must use 5 instead -100
