This is a BETA version 0.2. I have uploaded the latest copy.
It sports a virtual point and click keyboard. By ether hitting a key or typing directly into the console, Type-n-sign will then show the appropriate hand sign. Has play back, continuous play, and Speed control features. Even supports the ability to switch out hand modules (Have a Web or Digital Cam? Customize/personalize Type-N-sign to your needs...) Current module was created using poser.

Technical Notes::
Type-n-sign uses a transparent form based on the background picture (Pure API). The latest version loads its' data from a file (Program loads in under a second now. Thanks Doug) and if the data file isn't found it will create a new one. Since it is a transparent form, I relied on Popup menus and a graphical interface based on the picture itself. Also moved code from module to a class. Reads and writes to ini file as needed. (Checks to see if program is running for the first time, if so, sets a default file and brings up Options window.)

I posted code a while back for the form shaping/transparency that works much faster. It could do your form in a fraction of a second, instead of several seconds. Great Program! I anticipate you will be doing actual animations for words, sentences and ideas? This would be fantastic to take a presentation or speech for example and converting the text to sign-language on a large screen display in the front of a room. Not just letters, but complete motions. 5 stars from me!

Just wanted to say, this is a cool project. Nice interface...clean code. However, just wanted to let you know that there is a small problem in the proejct. Nothing too major but a common problem. Someplace in your code you are leaving an object or reference im memory which does not allow the program to end when you click the X. While in VB if I run your code and play with it a bit, then click X. The form closes, but the project is still running and I must hit the Stop in VB to end it. If compiled, what this will do will leave instances of your program running in memory even when the user thinks it is closed. You may wish to track down this problem and fix it. After downloading the old version to look into it, the problem is in Exit_Click(). You need to add "Unload FrmLoading"... {Grin} The agony of not saving your code before Run/Crash. :)

I have found a problem with this , whereby when I run it, there is an error on the hands.mod file it is empty (0bytes). Can I get another copy of it. Also I only have the BETA where is your updated one

To those having problems downloading. For some reason it is changing the name to FileName_zip, where it needs to be FileName.zip , You can change this in the download windows. I have uplaoded it again and still same results...
