Multi Document Text editor with many functions.
This is a project I started 18 months ago. It grew out of control and I now have realized I will probably never have time to finish it. Therefore I now release it for you guys to use.
All I ask is: If you use it for anything, let me know. The name is mine to use with a text editor.
The program is almost finished. A few bugs still have to be sorted out. Let me know if you find a solution for them.
Read the text file, E-Type.txt, included in the zipfile. It contains todolist and credits to the people, who I have ether got help from, ideas from or borrowed snippets from.
Note: Due to the size or complexity of this submission, the author has submitted it as a .zip file to shorten your download time. Afterdownloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.Virus note:All files are scanned once-a-day by Planet Source Code for viruses, but new viruses come

This is the most professional looking text editor I've ever seen. Beautiful layout and graphics. I don't have time to look through the code right now. I'm afraid of adding stuff to it though, I might mess it up.

Great work in progress! Also good is the text file explaining what still needs work. I may adjust it to work in my software as a 'built-in' test editor. If I do, I'll let you know!

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. When I started to think about a name for the program I realized that all text editors have ether “pad”, “note”, “text” or similar words in their names, so I had to try to find a completely new name. I spent a lot of time twisting my mind about this until suddenly I had it. E-Type. It is a car, a Swedish pop group and it can mean Electronic Typing. I’m quite satisfied with the name.

A very nice, clean interface. But I believe it has limited use because it is dependant on the RTF control (try to load a document with 500kb of data and edit/select text and you'll see that the performance [sh|c]ould be better). One alternative, not the best but much better, is using the codemax control which you can find here on PSC if you search for "cedit". It's in C/C++ code though, don't know if there is any good textbox controls with VB code. (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
