(Added the OCX's. sysmon.ocx is NOT needed for the project to work.) The DDE function of this program was borrowed from another mIRC DDE app. This one goes a few steps further. Those who use DalNET know about the Services, and this app will allow any newbie to utilize the services with ease. Check the screenshot. I am working on a Pirch version as well. Comments are appreciated, votes not needed.

Afterdownloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.Virus note:All files are scanned once-a-day by Planet Source Code for viruses, but new viruses come out every day, so no prevention program can catch 100% of them. For your own safety, please:
  1. Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
  2. NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.
  3. Scan the source code with Minnow's Project Scanner

If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net including:McAfee.com

Can you add sysmon.ocx and threed32.ocx to your zip? I don't have it on my system. Thanks!

Also, is there a way to send information from the channel (i.e. topic, how many ops, etc) to the vb app?

Nicely done code! I will vote when I get the chance to see the program in its entirety, with ocxs, and logging on to dalnet.

As I promised, I voted, and thanks!
I'd like to see your pirch version as well. I want to understand how to communicate with pirch, and the coding differences with mirc.

I dont think pirch has a DDE protocol. Any application with a DDE protocol can be sent information.

You get that please register information because once your connection has been accepted, you have to send the server a NICK "" and USER "" "" "" "" information. It will then proceed to send you a PING and you would have to respond with PONG, and then it would follow by sending the motd and lusers information.
