As categorized; this works for beginners. However, one thing you should change is Private WithEvents Clock As clockClass to Private Clock As clockClass. Although the clockClass object defines events, no event subroutines are defined in the form where the object is instantiated, and thus, WithEvents is not needed; most object classes expose events, but many are not needed or used. If your intent is to "teach VB" or "teach programming," it is very important to introduce one concept at a time.
