Position: Sr. Database Developer (and DBA) (skills: ETL, Perl / Unix Scripting, SQL, DB2 UDB,ERwin)
Location: South Bend Indiana
Salary Range: Up to 90 -110K-depends on experience and relocation Assistance is provided.
This is a full time staff position so no sub-contractors or third parties
please.
* Job Description:
An established and rapidly growing company in South Bend, IN, is seeking a Sr. Database Developer.
You will participate in the creation of ETL to support the clients core data warehouse and its data marts.
You will also participate in the administration of operational databases and the development of data mining features.
You will also assist software development teams in the creation of complex queries, designing databases to meet
software requirements, analyzing database performance, test and evaluate new database features and technology.
You may lead and direct the work of others.
*Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a technical discipline.
-A minimum of 4 years of IT with experience with 3 of those years in Database development & administration
-You must have significant experience with relationship databases such as MS SQL or DB2
-Must be fluent in SQL and scripting using Perl/UNIX Shell Script.
-Administration and maintenance of DB2 UDB databases on Linux is a plus
-Use of Erwin, DB backup and recovery is preferred
-DB monitoring and tuning using Quest Central tools is also a plus.
